High tack adhesive designed for photobooks / book wraps. Designed for use in Beargrip Adhesive Coater. Approximate cost per square foot is $0.25.
The original Beargrip adhesive was developed for making hard covers, adhering labels, mounting prints and presentations to boards. Unlimited open time so you can adhere your items at any time while providing a very aggressive bond.
Recommend running at 11 – 12 o-clock position when temperature dial is set with top temperature at 4 0-clock position.
For hard cover wraps there are some tips to get best results.
- Do not use C2S as the clay coating will stick to the application roller and make it difficult peel off at the output side. C1S can be used if the coated side is printed side.
- 32 lb bond is the thinnest recommended paper for running through the coater.
- 1” wrap is recommended minimum on hard covers to help prevent the wrap popping off the chipboard
- Heavier coating of adhesive is recommended
- After wrapping we recommend rolling to get best adhesion. Better yet is to run the wrapped book through a heated roll pouch laminator such as our: https://www.gvdirect.com/duralam-pouch-pro-335-13-19-pouch-laminator/
- Running through a heated pouch laminator will reactivate the adhesive and press onto the board for best finish.
Note: Beargrip machine can come set for either adhesive type but must be ordered with one type or the other type.
