Similiar to foil, but substantially easier to apply and with a much lower cost, Silver Sleeker foil can be applied as a spot coating to digitally printed media producing a dramatic finish. It is excellent for both short and long run applications !
Sleeking Process :
Apply Sleeking Foil in 4 EASY STEPS :
1 ) Print complete image with toner based print engine.
2 ) Overlaiminate with a printable laminate
3 ) Print with toner based print engine only on areas where coating is to be applied.
4 ) Apply Sleeking Film
Note : The lamination step can be eliminated if first print is printed with an offset press, then overprinted with a toner based print engine.
SLEEKING™
Sleeking is a special image transfer that specifically bonds to digital Inks and some toners on many printed surfaces, allowing the ability to create special effects and designs. Sleeking permits the application of a finish, such as gloss or matte, a metalized background, such as gold or silver, or a holographic impression, in spot locations or full coverage. Available in multiple patterns and styles, Sleeking can be applied first onto spot print applications, then trap printed; or can be applied on top of a special printable Karess™ laminate surface, once overprinted with digital ink. The most common application for sleeking today is variable data foiling, as it allows complete variability of data with excellent registration.
